Convert an article URL

Paste any article URL and PodRead fetches it, extracts the text, and turns it into a podcast episode.

   Find an article you want to listen to

   Open it in your browser and copy the URL from the address bar.

   Heads up: paywalled articles and pages that render in JavaScript often can't be fetched by URL. If a URL fails, use the Paste text tab (copy the article body from your browser) or the browser extension (it sends from inside your authenticated session).

   Open the URL tab on the New Episode form

   It's the default tab when you click + New Episode in the navigation.

   Paste the URL and click Create Episode

   Drop the URL into the field and click Create Episode. We start fetching the article immediately.

   Episode appears in your feed

   Once you submit, audio is ready in your feed in a few minutes. Whether it shows up in your podcast app right away or ten minutes later depends on how often your app checks for new episodes — in many apps you can pull-to-refresh if you want it sooner.
