Setup

Muse reads the PodRead API docs and writes its own connector. Give it a personal API token to use as a Bearer token.

1. Create a token in Settings, API Tokens. Copy it. PodRead shows it only once.
2. Send this message to Muse:

   Connect PodRead as a custom connector. API docs: https://podread.app/docs/authentication and https://podread.app/docs/episodes. OpenAPI spec: https://podread.app/api/v1/openapi.json. Use the API token I give you next as a Bearer token.

3. Give the token when Muse asks for it. Muse stores it in its own credential store, not in the chat.
4. Done. Muse can now create podcast episodes for you.

Do not paste the token into the chat message. Send the connector message first, then give the token only when Muse asks for it.

Articles over 50,000 characters fail. See Splitting long articles. To change the voice for your new episodes, go to Settings.

What you can do

Muse works from the PodRead REST API, so it can:

• Create episodes from URLs - paste any article link
• Create episodes from text - paste content directly into the chat
• List your episodes - see what you've created recently
• Check episode status - see if audio generation is finished
• Delete episodes - remove episodes from your feed
• Show available voices - see voice options (change your default in Settings)
• Get your feed URL - add to any podcast app to listen
