Other apps
Most podcast apps have an "Add by URL" or "Add RSS feed" option in their menu. Look for it in settings or when adding a new podcast.
Finding a blog's RSS feed
To turn a blog into episodes, you need its RSS feed URL. Most blogs publish one even when they don't advertise it. Try these in order:
- Look in the site's header, footer, or sidebar for the orange RSS icon or a link labeled RSS, Feed, or Subscribe, then copy the URL it points to
- Add a common feed path to the site's address — try /feed, /rss, /feed.xml, /rss.xml, or /atom.xml (WordPress sites almost always work with /feed/)
- On the blog's homepage, view the page source (Cmd + U on Mac, Ctrl + U on Windows) and search for rss+xml — the nearby URL is the feed
Substack
Every Substack newsletter has a feed at a predictable address — add /feed to the publication's URL.
- Standard address: https://publicationname.substack.com/feed
- Custom domain: add /feed to the newsletter's own domain instead
- Open the URL to confirm you see raw XML, then copy it
